2015 Take Apart Day

***I posted about this topic on my district’s blog: WW-P 1to1 Learning***

I had the pleasure of getting a Post-it Note from Dr. Rebecca McLelland-Crawley, one Friday morning. “11am, STEAM room, Take Apart Day, be there!”

Now that sounds enticing! I went and had a great time. Students were highly engaged in carefully (even though they were tempted to tear apart) deconstructing the various items they brought in. They arranged the pieces to take a photograph. This image became the background for a ThingLink. The concept was to participate in the ‘Product Deconstruction Challenge’

Below are a couple more photos from the event as well as a team’s ThingLink. Want to read/view more, check out the PRISM blog!
